Our Mission
San José Grail Family Services fosters learning and the empowerment of vulnerable families with young children with programs that educate, develop leadership skills, and build a sense of community.
Since 2000, GFS has provided family support programs to more than 10,000 children and their parents. GFS focuses on adult education, family literacy, and the empowerment of community residents.
GFS offers a comprehensive array of services to support and strengthen families. Through our many programs, we strive to do the following:
- Improve literacy for both parents and children
- Ensure parents are fluent in English
- Promote active parenting
- Build leadership skills
- Provide case management and family support
- Connect women to valuable resources and increase their network of support
- Promote self-sufficiency among families
