| Andrea is an East San José community resident. Before joining Grail Family Services as a community volunteer, Andrea participated in several GFS programs including Lee y Séras Family Conversations workshops and ESL. She loved the programs so much that she decided to volunteer her time towards one of GFS's other programs, the Women's Group. Andrea has taken the initiative to organize and lead the Women's Group meetings. She believes that there is great potential in empowering the community's women. |

| Mary supports the development of literacy skills, self-esteem, and awareness of the world for 1st-3rd grade children with the BEST After-School Program curriculum. She assists in supervising and mentoring Santa Clara University program interns. Mary volunteered with Casa Hogar for orphaned children in Peru. She has been a teacher's aide Massachusetts and lived in South Africa for a year teaching English to Zulu children. Mary is constantly opening our minds and reminding us of the power of hope, dedication, and commitment to positive change. |

| Child Enrichment Program Intern |
| Francis plans, supervises, and implements age-appropriate activities that support the healthy growth and development of children of ages 0 – 5. She also facilitates Good Touch/Bad Touch Program and 911 Emergency Activity for children 3 – 5 years. She is responsible for administering pre- and post-assessments to measure the children’s learning and development.Francis is a positive role model to children as well as staff and parents. |
