We offer programs in English and Spanish for families with children 0-6 years of age in a warm and welcoming environment that many community residents consider their “home away from home.”
Programs that help families promote their children’s healthy development and learning:
NuParent (Parents of children 0-12 months)
Parents and caregivers learn what to expect as their child grows and develops and how to create a healthy, nurturing home environment.
Hablemos Juntos (parents of children 12-36 months)
Parents and caregivers learn how to develop their child’s language skills so they will be ready to learn
Eastside Cares (0-36 months)
Infant/Toddler child care through our Friends and Family Childcare Home Network (FFCHN) and our recently renovated Toddler Center.
Child Enrichment (children 0-3 years)
Age-appropriate learning activities for children of parents and caregivers in GFS programs
State-funded Preschool (children 3-4 years)
Children develop the skills they will need to be ready for kindergarten
Family Math (preschool children)
Parents and caregivers learn to support their child’s math skills through fun activities at home
Yes We Can...Read! Plus (YWCR+) (TK-1st grade students)
Includes mentors to promote children’s literacy and math skill development along with family engagement for parents and teachers

ESL
Parents and caregivers learn English and connect with other parents and caregivers in a nurturing environment
Parent Support Group
Parents and caregivers build connections, share ideas, experiences, and concerns with other parents for mutual support
Family Resource Center (FRC)
Our FRC offers the programs and family support services listed here as well as referrals to a broad range of other resources through our community partners.
Case Management
Parents and caregivers work with a resourceful, caring Case Manager to strengthen their family and provide guidance and support with goal achievements
Building Blocks of Parenting App (BBP)
The BBP App provides families with access to child development information, parenting strategies, learning activities, notifications about community resources, and much more
